MaRS and CIBC Inclusive Design Challenge: Support at Work Launch

This December 1, you’re invited to the launch of the MaRS and CIBC Inclusive Design Challenge: Support at Work, a pan-Canadian innovation competition that aims to address the most pressing employment barriers faced by persons with disabilities.
The winner of this second challenge in the series will receive a $50,000 grand prize; two runners-up will receive $20,000 each; and two innovators will be awarded $5,000 each with honourable mention.
The challenge’s virtual launch features a panel discussion on improving support at work for persons with disabilities. The panel, moderated by Tim Rose, senior consultant, Accessibility at CIBC, will feature a diverse range of perspectives including experts in the fields of accommodations, inclusive technologies and diverse workplace environments. Hear from a diverse range of perspectives including:
- Barbara Willet, managing director, Good Foot Delivery
- Wayne Henshall, head, National Come to Work and Impact Evaluation, Canadian National Institute for the Blind
- Luke Wilson, program manager, Workplace Accommodation and Ergonomics, CIBC
MaRS and CIBC are committed to making this launch, and the overall challenge, as accessible as possible. We are offering American Sign Language interpretation and closed-captioning during the broadcast. Please let us know if you require any additional accommodations through the registration.
