WEA Project Research Phase Wraps Up

It’s been an exciting summer of collaboration, connection, and conversation! The Women’s Economic Advancement Project has provided an amazing opportunity to meet women from across the region.

Research Complete

We’re currently evaluating the contributions of 158 women who participated in 16 group conversations across Southwestern Ontario in June and July. The entrepreneurial passion of everyone who participated energized each session, as women shared their stories, successes, challenges and solutions.

We’re incredibly grateful for the overwhelming openness of all participants throughout the research phase of the project. The feedback collected during the group conversations will help identify the needs of women entrepreneurs, create programs and strategies to solve common challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, and identify new partnerships and collaborations.

What’s Next

This September, we’ll reconvene with those who participated in our group conversations at a community collaboration event to share more of the input we gathered. At this one-day working session, we’ll dig into the information collected this summer, and begin to develop strategies and solutions to advance women’s participation in business and entrepreneurship.

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the WEA Project for your continued support and engagement in this important work! Stay tuned for more insights in the coming months.
